Product leadership

Witzy

Turning conversations into plans.

Concept / Prototype

A focused social app prototype and product narrative for stakeholder and investor discussion.

Witzy: Making Plans Happen project interface

Overview

Witzy was an early-stage mobile app prototype focused on a difficult but common problem: helping people move from casual online interaction to making concrete plans in the real world. While many social platforms excel at discovery and conversation, few provide enough structure to turn intent into action.

I helped define the product direction and develop a prototype for investor conversations and capital raising. The scope was an early concept that stakeholders could evaluate before committing to full application development.

The problem

The initial vision explored social feeds, event creation, messaging, discovery, and location-based features to support real-world meetups. We needed to focus that broad set of ideas so users could understand how the product would help them make plans.

The main challenge was prioritization: deciding which interactions would help users turn an intention to meet into a plan.

The approach

We framed the product around turning conversations into plans. Discovery and messaging supported that goal, with user flows leading toward arranging a meetup.

From an experience standpoint, this meant emphasizing clarity of intent. Users needed to quickly understand what actions were available, why they mattered, and how they moved closer to meeting in person. Features were evaluated based on whether they reduced friction or introduced unnecessary cognitive load.

I helped narrow the scope and explain the concept for users, investors, and a future development team. The prototype needed enough detail to show how the product would work and support decisions about further development.

Role and execution

I worked across product definition, experience structure, and concept validation. This included shaping the core user flows, clarifying feature relationships, and helping translate a broad idea into a cohesive product story.

I worked with the team to align the product vision, user flows, and execution plan. The prototype gave everyone a concrete reference for discussing the concept and its next steps.

Outcome

The work resulted in a focused product prototype and narrative explaining the intended audience, the problem, and the proposed experience.

The prototype and product narrative gave investors and stakeholders a shared reference for evaluating the concept before a full development commitment.

This project reinforced the value of a focused prototype when a team needs to explain and evaluate an early idea.

The next conversation

Good work starts with a conversation.

A leadership role, a product challenge, or an idea worth exploring. I’d like to hear what you’re working on.
