The first release needs a complete reason to be useful

A narrow first release works best when it preserves a meaningful workflow. Lessons from connected products and careful MVP definition.

Use prototypes to make the decision visible

Prototypes can bring stakeholders, designers, and engineers into a clearer conversation when the team knows which decision it is trying to make.

Measure what the product changes for people

Meaningful product measurement starts with the intended change, a clear baseline, and honest interpretation of what the available evidence can show.

Good AI experiences start with information architecture

Before adding an AI answer box, make the underlying content clear, connected, and accountable to the people who use it.

Design the uncertain moments in an AI experience

Useful AI interaction design makes limits, corrections, and the next action understandable before a user has to ask.

The workflow continues after the screen looks finished

A useful product connects the steps before and after an interface, including the handoffs that software teams can easily miss.

Plain language is a product design decision

Complex products need explanations that preserve meaning while helping people understand the next useful step.

Prototype the part that could change your mind

The most useful prototype tests an important assumption, even when that means leaving the polished parts of the product unfinished.

Design systems

A design system records product decisions

Reusable components become more valuable when they explain the behavior, content, and trade-offs a team has agreed to preserve.

Design systems

Accessibility still needs a human review

AI can help implement an interface, but a convincing screen is only the beginning of checking whether people can use it.

UX & research

Use AI to organize research without losing the evidence

AI-assisted synthesis is useful when observations, interpretations, and product decisions remain connected to their sources.

UX & research

Design for the place the work actually happens

The right product experience depends on attention, environment, and the handoff beyond the screen, as much as screen size.

UX & research

Trustworthy interfaces make their boundaries clear

People need to understand what a product knows, what an action changes, and where their own judgment remains necessary.

AI in practice

AI-assisted building still needs product judgment

Faster implementation changes the pace of product work. It also makes clear scope, verification, and ownership more valuable.

User acceptance testing is product work

Release decisions improve when acceptance testing follows real work, includes the awkward cases, and gives findings a clear owner.
